Showgirls II?

Before Source Code kicks into full gear, we have one more Jake Gyllenhaal/Anne Hathaway video interview for Love & Other Drugs:

Here is a short video from the Australian premiere. It's more of an ad for Moët than anything else! But you do get to see Jake and Anne:

And another interview I hadn't seen; here's the first part. Just do a search for Jake's name and you can see the rest. They have annoyingly edited it into short snippets. There's also a PoP Jake interview available.

There is also a new TV spot for Source Code:

Not sure if this is new but it's a good one:

And a very nice review for the movie.

A couple of new clips:

You can follow the press tour adventures of Duncan Jones on this blog.

I like this new commercial! Thank you, UV!

Always nice to see Jake and Anne. The chemistry between these two is amazing!

"It's nice to see Duncan enthusiastic about things!"

LOL! Yes. It is.;)

UV, the LAOD video is cute! You'd think they would have exhausted "cute" by now.

What a fun video, I sure miss Jake and Anne doing promo for LAOD!

It great that Duncan's enthusiasm has kicked in for SC, the commercial is short but it gives the viewer just enough IMO.

I agree about the new trailer. Very good. Says just enough.

That's what I like to see in the commercials of Source Code. They give enough.

I love this picture:: Jake talking with Duncan Jones

That is a nice review UV, interesting that Jake really pushed to get this made. It's a smart sci-fi film, not just special effects and explosions. I just hope that it doesn't scare off some people.

I like the commercial too!

Cute will never be exhausted when talking about Jake and Anne, they are adorable!

Thanks for that link Monica:)

From an Indiewire article about the films showing at SXSW:

For the festival’s opening night slot, SXSW programmers have recently chosen mid-size studio movies primarily aimed at the young male demographic (last year, that placement went to “Kick Ass”; before that, it was “I Love You, Man”). While the latest choice doesn’t break that trend, it still stands out from the pack with a unique vision and rare intellectual thrills. “Source Code,” the sophomore feature of “Moon” director Duncan Jones, follows that atmospheric science fiction tale with another. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a soldier forced to continually relive the last eight minutes of a train ride fated to end in an explosion. As he scrambles to find the culprit, “Source Code” becomes a multi-dimensional romance in addition to a suspenseful ride. Having seen it early I’m beholden to an embargo, but I will say that “Moon” fans will not be disappointed. Jones, working on a slightly larger scale, has not sold out.

Thanks for the pic, Monica. Love the arms!

Another SC article from SFX magazine.

Also, is this a new ad or old? I'm getting confused!

It was fun to get one more shot of Jake/Anne fun before the SC promotion begins. I doubt he and Michelle will do so many interviews together. But I hope Jake has some help promoting the flick.

Hello~~everyone

From twitter:

Cameronadamsxxx: Saw a screening of SOURCE CODE with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan. It was really good! It's coming out soon go see it!

Even though I know good WOM doesn't guarantee a successful BO number, I am still happy about people admire Jake's performance:)

I think it's a new video, UV. Thank you.
Here is an interview with Duncan Jones: Source Code

I find the new poster just meh, looks too photoshopped for my taste. Still, it's a lot better than the first.

Ha,love all the sports metaphors Jake and Anne used during that interview, too funny! I hope they do another movie together, they have incredible chemistry.

Love all the commercial and trailers for SC so far and the tweet/reviews have been for the most part positive.

Looking forward to Jake and Duncan at SXSW this weekend!

Thanks so much for all the updates and links!

I'm going to add this to the post, but Duncan Jones's girlfriend is doing a blog of the SC press tour. Could be interesting.

That was a good interview, Monica. I hadn't realized just how instrumental Jake was in this whole thing until reading some of the recent stories.

Shondra, I wanted Anne to bust Jake's chops for using the "swinging for the fences" metaphor at the end there! LOL.

Oh, and thanks for the confirmation that it was a new ad, Monica. It's hard to keep track.

Jake's involvement with getting SC to the big screen is interesting. The script was kicking around for a few years and Topher Grsce name was attached to it.

UltraViolet said...

I know it was one of those "best unproduced scripts" of legend. Rendition was, too. Let's hope SC works out a little better!

I just added yet another Jake/Anne interview link. Here's the first part. Just do a search for Jake's name and you can see the rest. They have annoyingly edited it into short snippets. There's also a PoP Jake interview available.

Apparently, I have no will power, as I watched the two clips here. The third video, the ad, also has a new beginning. Or maybe it's old and I didn't watch it when I was pretending to be able to resist.

I was good about L&OD; I don't know why I keep watching this SC stuff!

I also liked this from the writer:

Last night, I checked out an early screening of "Source Code," and while I can't tell you much, I can say the sci-fi flick is a very worthy successor to director Duncan Jones' 2009 cliche-defying debut, "Moon." Honestly, though, like "Moon," it's best to go into "Source Code" knowing only the framework.

I had no idea Jake was so key to developing this project. I love hearing about this background stuff! I also love when they talk about how smart this movie is.

UV, I couldn't last 24 hrs into my resolution to not watch video clips of SC.:)

Duncan and his GF are very dedicated tweeters and bloggers! :)

The way Jake & Anne play off one another just begs for another comedy, or that non-existent caper movie I keep talking about. Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks did a few movies together. Jake & Anne would be even better.

OT but not: Great article in Vanity Fair, April ed. about how Robert Redford got All the President's Men made. Sort of relevant, indirectly, to stuff we've talked about before.

I still haven't bought the Hollywood VF. I hope it's still on stands. I'll check out that article, too, Bobbyanna.

Glad to know I'm not the only one without willpower!

New post.
