Remainders

Jake looks a little worried there, but from all accounts, it seems the Chicago lightning-trip for Source Code was a success. We have a few more set pics of Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan.

And one more WonderCon interview - more joking with the local LA/KABC reporter:

I've been waiting to see some pictures of the PoP billboards in Los Angeles. Here's one from a Westwood office building:

And finally, a youtuber condensed all of the Dastan moments from the trailers and featurettes into a nice video. It captured some moments that I'd missed.

Actually both Jake and Michelle are listening intently.
Love the making POP for kids (and how glad they were to see the young boy with a question)..and esp... for "the kids in my life". I think that includes all the ones we know about, and am sure there are others who are friends and other family members such as cousins, etc.

Actually, I was making a joke.

It's probably a little bittersweet when Jake tks about the kids in his life. But I'm sure they will all adore it.

That Pop billboard looks really cool!

There's a very good chance that Jake will attend Wonder Con next year or even Comic Con with Source Code.

Awww! I thoroughly enjoyed the video made up of PoP clips! I recall how apprehensive I was when I first heard he'd signed on for PoP, but looking at this, it suits him, it really does - Jake became Dastan, action hero! It's really obvious that he put his whole heart into it, too. It looks exhausting ...and dangerous. I'm really looking forward to this movie in a way I never expected to.

I hope Jake gets to see this fan video. If I recall from one of the many interviews from Wondercon he said that he visits Youtube quite often!

He really is Dastan Bobbyanna, he worked so hard on this film and he so excited about it.

I can't wait till May!

Wow, great job on the fan video! I'm always amazed at the creativity of people's videos, and the song was a great choice. I see some things I hadn't noticed before too - the more I see of this movie, the more intrigued I become. This is as good as the professional featurettes! :)

That fan video is very impressive, most are just so cheesey. Love the song and the scenes they chose. It looks really professional!

I was a bit nervous when I heard Jake signed on for Pop, but the more I see my fears have disappeared. This movie is going to rock , Jake was the perfect choice to play Dastan!

Jake does looked a bit concerned in that first shot!

What a great fan video, looks just as good as the features that Disney has been releasing.

This movie is going to be huge!

She must have been drunk if she doesn't remember partying with Jake!:

saraheleavitt: Partied with Jake Gyllenhall last night...and don't remember a thing. Ugh.

Oh, I hope she remembers some of the details, even if only for her own memories!

I like the billboard, but I really want to see one on Sunset, e.g. I assume there is or will be one.

I was also dubious about the role. But the more I see, the more I like. I'm still wary, because you can already hear the naysayers sharpening their claws. Some people will just never give Jake a chance, and some may genuinely not like it. I hope most people can be objective and acknowledge the hard work and what seems like the achievement.

I'm glad you all like the fan vid, too. I was impressed. It's great to see all that Jake jammed into one place :)

So by that reasoning it doesn't matter what Jake's next role will be - Viagra salesman, commuter on a train, baseball player - because there will always be the naysayers unwilling to give him a chance. I really don't care about those people to be quite honest. Screw 'em.

Every actor has a certain group of people who will not be fans and not like anything they do but for anyone who continues to make movies and has a strong fan base it will always be more imporant than any non-fans out there. You always hope the people you like are appreciated and if some can't see it that's their problem and will have no affect on his career. I want him to be treated fairly too and now and then something will bother me but that's normal.
As far as critics go and to the "Industry" Jake is considered one of the Best actors around. He is always a "reliable" actor to them because he will always do a good job.
Some critics don't esp. like popcorn movies but still the people will enjoy it.
And don't forget someone who saw it said he did like the fact that Jake didn't drop the accent. Sometimes actors who are doing various accents are heard to weave in and out of them during a movie.

I have to admit that I probably wouldn't bother to See Prince of Persia if Jake wasn't in it, it's not my type of film. That said, this looks awesome, and I expect it to be a big hit, especially overseas which is why I think it's openeing over there first.

What a great fan video, there are bits that I don't remember seeing in the Disney featurettes.

Love the SC pics and speaking of SC, I found this article on filming in Montreal. They mention the Jake and Isabel rumors but fails to connect that Isabel is in the movie Immortals which is filming in Montreal and they mention Immortals in the article!:

There was another sighting of Jake with Isabel on Saturday night at some club in Montreal.

I don't think there's any substance to the Isabel thing. Maybe her publicist, or some friends put it out there. They might've all been partying together, who knows! Jake seemed oblivious to it when asked, and I don't think he was "acting." It's already been pointed out, Jake'll be linked to a lot of different girls as long as he's single.

I'm wondering if a big, red carpet premiere of PoP in the U.S. will coincide with the London opening. L.A. or NYC, or both? Maybe back-to-back hoopla?

I love the huge poster in LA!! LOL!! I hope they paper the city with them, so lots of people see it every day, everywhere...:)

That's definitely possible bobbyanna, or maybe they're seeing each other.
