Behind the bubble/In the bubble
The LA Times behind-the-scenes series Hollywood Backlot has a trio of photos from Bubble Boy. Two of the photos feature Jake Gyllenhaal:
I still haven't ever watched Bubble Boy all the way through - I like having one Jake movie in my unseen pile. But these, like almost all the onset photos or screen caps, really make me want to watch it.
They are also a reminder of the beauty of black and white photography. And of Jake, of course. "Jake in black and white. In black and white" showcased the best of Jake's b&w photoshoots. But there are some cool candids of Jake in the two-toned theme:
I've seen the Jake and Kirsten close-up many times, but the one right above is new to me. Probably because Jake isn't listed in the tags for the photo. But who could ignore that profile!
We need some new Jake on the red carpet.
It's not a candid, but I can't resist posting this one, just because it's one of my all-time favorites:
You can place a bid on a Jake-autographed Zodiac poster. Proceeds benefit Lifebeat, a national non-profit organization dedicated to reaching America’s youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention.
