A Year In The Life

Happy Birthday, Reese.

We made you a cake. We think Farmer Jake would approve.

It's a little late in the day, but it's still March 22nd. So in honor of Reese Witherspoon's birthday, a pictorial look back at the past year.

Great post again FL, a year on and still there are disbelievers, their loss.

Going back to the previous post and the comment from anon, yes her stomach is pretty noticable, especially on one of the pics, and she seems to always cover it up lately, just speculating may be nothing.

Jake said he loved watching pigs getting slaughtered and Reese buys pigs? oh my gosh, I don't want to know!

Brilliant post, FL! What a nice way to commemorate this past year of Reese's life..... I'm guessing she probably really enjoyed most of her 31st year, and I'm guessing her 32nd year is looking pretty promising as well. :)

Belated TY to monica for the link to the Easter piglet story and pics. Loved Deacon's t-shirt (wondered if that was a Jake present?).

I know I shouldn't be greedy, but I am hoping to see Easter Sunday pics of J & R and kids tomorrow at church. Weren't there pics of her last Easter...... church had an Easter egg hunt for the kids?

Yes, suvee, that's right.

JustJared has the pics.

What does Deacon's shirt say? I can't make it out from the photo i've seen?

suvee said...

Thanks, FL!

Hope we see some pics from tomorrow.

Deacon's t-shirt is navy blue, on the front is:

the back side is the peace symbol. Very cute!

Thanks suvee.

Pet lover, really I took that with a grain of salt because Jake is a foodie and the realities of food preparation when you eat meat. Knowing what we know about him, being a dog owner, etc., I don't think he wants pigs or other animals harmed. I don't think Jake would hurt the kids little piglets.

I think when Jake said that about watching pigs getting slaughtered he said it in jest. The question was about loving the outdoors, and in response he said that yes he loves the outdoors, so much so that sometimes he goes to a farm to watch a pig get slaughtered.

It was Jake being Jake.

LOL, pet lover!

And FL, what a great post. Loving this trip down memory lane. I know it wasn't easy to find all that stuff. But it's fun to remember those early days.

Ad the cake looks scrumptious. That's one way to get me to eat my vegetables.

The last time online gossip kept saying that Reese was pregnant, she sued them.

FluorescentLamp said...

No, anon, Reese sued a tabloid publication, not online gossip. How do you sue online gossip anyway?

Lovely, FL.

Reese had an excellent year. Wonder what this year holds for her. :)

Beautiful cake and I love this post, FL! It brings back fun memories.I have to smile at how the media was so wonderfully confused on this one!

Toronto pics always make me giggle...they were trying so hard,...and so obviously act like nothing at all was going on...and the DOW in me always wonders what playful Jake is saying in the Rome photo op pics, bcz you just know he is really messing with her and she's trying hard not to react.

Didn't Reese mention pigs on Leno? Not related to Penelope. And she took the kids to some kind of pig racing contest on MV? So clearly, pigs have been on her mind...maybe she's reacting to Jake's pig-slaughtering comments, by trying to save pig at a time :)

Happy Easter, everyone!!!! I've got to prepare my contribution to Sunday dinner with family! (We're having a roasted loin...of pork...)

Thanks for this FL. Nice to stroll down memory lane.

OT: How was everyone's Easter? I spent it with family. We ate some smoked ham, mashed potatoes and vegies. All in all it was a good time.

Happy Easter Peeps:)

As I waddle to my sofa, I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
I remember reading someplace that Reese's kiddos were very impressed with the pigs and other farm animals, at Martha Vineyard's Fair last August when she visited.

I really like the selection of pictures you've chosen. I especially like their posture/body language in the airport "kissing" picture. It's very romantic.

So is the last, most recent picture of them at the Farmers' Market. The way she has her arm around him and the way his chin looks as if he's resting it on top of her head.

I think they must have a very sweet, loving relationship. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they get married, have babies, etc.
