No, not taken by a whiny pap but filmed by Hype Williams. Apparently, Jake Gyllenhaal was among the friends tapped by Jamie Foxx for his latest video, Blame It. The clip will premiere on February 9, but in the meantime, here are some stills:
Speaking of videos - David Fincher got his start directing them. And tonight, Jake is scheduled to be at a tribute to David Fincher as part of thee Santa Barbara Film Festival.
On Friday, January 30, SBIFF will present “A Celebration of David Fincher,” where he will be joined by Jake Gyllenhaal, Academy Award-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson and a few special friends.
Let's hope the evening offers spectators some good give and take between Fincher and Gyllenhaal.
They fight, but we know they really like each other under it all.
And how cool would it be if RDJ showed up for some witty commentary?

I always wanted to know who those two women were with Jake on the Red carpet at SAGS in 06, loved the looks on their faces and their body language, giddy to meet Mr. Gyllenhaal, and I don't blame them!
What cool news about the video with Mr. Foxx, I've heard the song and Opie/Richie Cunningham is in it too! Love the hat, was hoping to see himwear it again.

One of the women is Taraji Hinson, sheba. She was nominated for Benjamin Button this year, and also worked with Terrance Howard in Hustle & Flow. I think the other woman is from Hustle & Flow, too. Taraji is scheduled to be at the Fincher event tonight, too.
This is SO cool that Jake is doing a music video!!! I like some hip hop, and listening to samples of Jamie's Intuition, it sounded good. Putting Opie in his video was genius!:) Go, Jamie!!!!

I think the hat he wore in the Christmas pictures with Reese is different from the one in the video. The one he wore last night looks like a very expensive black dress hat. Maybe Jake has started a collection of hats.
I don't think I'd be averse to a wee trim of the eyebrows. At this point they're overpowering his face. Which is not a good thing.
And how happy am I that more pics (read: BETTER) pics showed up after the initial few that made him look 78 years old. Yay smiley Jake!

I think clean shaven, Jake looks very boyish. I'm amazed, actually, at how very young he looks.
These are lovely pictures in this thread. I especially like the pictures of Jake and David Fincher fussing over one another in the Cannes/Zodiac shots.
At first, I thought Jake was 'courting' David Fincher, but now I believe they are good friends who sometimes have creative differences, and the regard is mutual.

All the Fincher love inspired me to be spontaneous and go off to see Benjamin Button. Hope there are some reports from the event by the time I emerge from the movie!

I've never heard any of Jamie Foxx's recordings, but I saw him sing on Oprah once and I thought he had a great voice.

I was relieved to hear someone else say this.... I have worried that the Jake/Fincher relationship might be a little one sided, but I agree, sallykirkland. There appears to be a mutual respect and friendship at work here.

Thanks, Sag Actor. One thing I notice about Jake. Almost all the time, when ever he appears some where, even if it is for an interview about his own movie, or on a red carpet at a premiere, or at some event like this, people seem to get so excited that Jake was there. Like it's a major event. He really must be something special in person to create such excitement. It is kind of like George Clooney used to do.
I thought of Eliot Ness too when I saw Jake but i think I read somewhere that the rights to Torso had lapsed and it was shelved.
I really like the look, great to see him with the fans and Fincher and Taraji!
