Mr. G. Goes To Washington

It might have seemed as if Jake Gyllenhaal was just playing tourist in the nation's capital, but perhaps he was really doing some research for his future roles.

Thanks to the resourceful scrum, we have a better shot of Jake enjoying the Red Sox/Nationals game and picking up pointers for his role as Joe Hardy.



Actually, he was super cool the whole game. He talked baseball with all the other sox fans around him and signed autographs and took pics. Good sport that Jake Gyllenhal.

From her expression, I'm guessing Jake's row-mate is a Yankees fan.

Earlier in the week, Jake attended a show at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, doing some advance work for the UMP, perhaps? He even started on his wardrobe:



Not sure if Jake managed to do any research for Love And Other Drugs. Well, he has the love part down, anyway :)

Capital climes

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon continue to make the most of Reese's location shoot. After watching the Red Sox beat the hapless Nats, Jake visited Reese on set, where the cast and crew have been working long hours into the night. Perfect time for a snack. And some Starbucks :)

Monday morning blues (and grays)

I got splashed by a car driving through a puddle on my way to work. Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon seem to have enjoyed a sunnier fate in Washington, D.C. this morning.

Anne Hathaway stopped by The View this morning to chat about Shakespeare in the Park among other things. If you want to get right to the good stuff, scroll to the 6:05 mark where she says that yes, she and Jake will be working on an upcoming movie together, which one presumes is the Lawyers, Drugs and Money...Lovers and Other Strangers...Love is the Drug...whatever it's called movie. Continue watching/listening to hear Joy Behar make the grandaddy of all faux pas. Way to go, Joy, to stay current with pop culture.
