Just thinking about Reese's "Pharma" project...... I know her parents are a doctor and a nurse, and I thought that both Jake's maternal grandparents were doctors. Maybe the subject matter just has an appeal to both of them based on family involvement.
Oh my God, that pictures is hilarious! BB is a movie that I didn't like when it first came out but viewing it several time since, it's funny as hell!

Anon and Monica, it's most likely a Blogger issue and nothing to do with this particular blog. I don't use IE so I have no problem seeing the comments. However, this morning when I logged into the comments page of the blog and then backed out to the main post, it was missing. I refreshed a few times and it came back. Weirdness.
I just opened in IE and it seems fine.

Reese's Pharma project sounds pretty interesting, especially since its on her own production company. She seems to be making a return to darker films.

There are some photos and a cute and funny Paul Rudd encounter.
The city is apparently filled with other celebrities, but I have yet to see them. Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon and Jack Nicholson also co-star, but were absent from the filming in Adams Morgan yesterday. However, when I stopped for an iced tea at my local Starbucks in Woodley Park, the barista gushed to me that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon had patronized the establishment only 5 minutes prior to my arrival. I had a mini conniption at the register. So who knows, perhaps I'll have another sighting in the near future.

All of these tweets and sightings make me re-annoyed that they aren't filming Reese's movie in Boston. But if Jake makes one of his movies here, I'll forget my pique.
A couple of amusing tidbits:
Apparently, the hot rumorwas that Jake and Reese would be attending the Radio&TV Correspondents dinner tonight. Alas, the biggest Hollywood celeb there was Angelina Jolie's brother.
A very detailed description of dinner at the Four Seasons,with a Jake & Reeese spotting thrown in for good measure.
$102 shorter but with a free glass of wine in my future, I bounded out of the restaurant and headed toward three (!) hours of ballet. In the lobby, I saw a young woman who looked like Reese Witherspoon holding hands with a guy who looked like Jake Gyllenhaal. The goofy grin of a hotel bellhop bragging about the photo he took confirmed it. They might get free fries and lobster corn dogs, but I doubt free wines from general managers are in their futures.
I am so glad this movie is a go! Looking forward to Anne and Jake teaming up again. That interview is too funny, don't know how anyone can mix up Jake and Joaquin!!

At the end of the day I don't think it had anything to do with tax incentives. I recently read an article about the film and James L. Brooks was quoted as saying he's in love with Washington, D.C.
Wonder if he feels the same way about Philly, where the bulk of filming will be done.

Just didn't occur to me that someone would infer that Jake and Reese spending a week and a half apart meant they were breaking up, especially as the established pattern is, one of them starts filming, the other will visit the set after around a couple of weeks, pretty much every film has gone this way. I just took it Jake took some time out, with possibly some PoP related work, to see Maggie and family, whilst Reese settled into her new film - just seem logical to me.
For some logic is a word that doesn't exist AK.

When i first read that 10 day thing did stop for a second and then i remembered there has been a person or maybe two who have been hoping everytime Jake and Reese haven't been seen together for more than 3 days that means they've broken up. That's the thought and no thinking that they are still individual people who have other family and friends and also work related situations including meetings and various things that go with getting a movie started. Usually if they have been miles apart making a movie at the same time (Christmas & Brothers) where they got away as often as they could to visit the other. Or being on the other side of the world where just travelling there takes a lot of hours but they both did it so they could spend possibly 5 days together.
Oh, it reflects more on the poster then on Reese and Jake, anyway. I agree. Very creepy to watch the callendar. The poster must be one of these smothery, insecure, possessive, drama queens.
Most couples have to balance work, family, friends, etc. Jake and Reese are no different. I love it that they try not to be separated for more than or two weeks most of the time. I think they work hard to keep a healthy, stable, relationship.
I'll never forget how she flew to New Mexico on a private plane to get him when he collapsed on set after hearing that Heath had died. I will always like her for doing that. She also doesn't hide her feelings for Jake. It's pretty obvious she is crazy about him. I like her for that, too.

Hi, all! Had to laugh. I'm really out of the loop. Apparently there's something called the DunkXChange complete with booths and live music. There will be one in L.A. and one in NYC, and today there's one in D.C. on Connecticut Ave. and some young man saw Jake and Reese. Wasn't exactly sure if they were there or if he saw them on the way there. Doubt if Jake is buying any second hand Nikes, but still...
I saw that tweet Bobbyanna, sounds like he met them today, the DC Exchange was several days ago.

Gutted about James being knocked out. It seems he was in problems or in pain. Now there's no eye candy left although tennis player are generally sexy when playing. Comeon Rodger, win one more time. Would love to see Sampras come over again to watch his record being broken. Yes, what part of contenporary society wears Roger's outfits. He makes me smile and he has dimples.
Great to hear Jake's enjoying himself before getting back to work again. It must drive actors insane being out of work and in between projects for such a long time. Jake and Anne have great chemistry and should have lots of fun together. Of course they are not the same young carefree people of 4 years ago. So much has changed for both of them. They'll be great.
