Finally!

After what seemed like months of walking the streets of Santa Monica in search of a yoga studio that wouldn't turn them away, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon finally got lucky. Sure, they had to go the private class route, but at least they'll be off the streets now.

FYI: That is not the recommended way to carry bottled water. Lucky bottle, though!

But it's great to see Jake again after so long: the sweat, the smirk, the arms, the thighs, the socks and the sandals...

Vision

Jake Gyllenhaal has been AWOL for a while, as you know. So when this video emerged today, it was more than a sight for sore eyes!

Speaking of which... Jake delivers a sweetly sincere plea for New Eyes for the Needy, a charity that helps provide glasses for those who can't afford them.

Jake mentions his own poor eyesight. But despite his visual handicap, he has frustrated the fans of Glasses!Jake. As far as we know, there is no photographic evidence of Jake wearing spectacles offscreen. But there is Proof:

Young Jake had the nerd look in October Sky:

And Jarhead Jake just went too far:

I guess choosing the right pair of glasses is too much pressure on Jake. Especially given the passions aroused by his choice of shades!

And this way, we get to see those baby blues.

Up close and personal

Stephanie uploaded some new publicity stills from Zodiac, including this picture of Jake Gyllenhaal, where you can count his eyelashes:

It made me think of other beautiful close-ups of Jake. Since we haven't gotten any new pap photos, let's look at some old photo shoots.

In other news, we know now what role Ben Kingsley will have in Prince of Persia. According to Variety:

Ben Kingsley will play the villain in Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer's bigscreen adapatation of the Ubisoft vidgame "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

In the fantasy actioner, Kingsley portrays Nizam, who plots to kill his brother King Shahrman and blame it on Prince Dastan so he can take the throne.

I do love a good villain!

Is he or isn't he?

We don't know whether Jake Gyllenhaal has returned to work on the set of Nailed or if he's still in L.A. While we wait to find out, lets take a look back at Jake on other film sets.

October Sky:

Donnie Darko:

Bubble Boy:

Moonlight Mile:

How bad is this picture? Were they trying to make the picture look as if it were taken in the 1970s, not on the set.

Proof:

Look - Gwyneth is smiling! Naturally!

Lucky fan.

Brokeback Mountain:

Jarhead:

Zodiac:

I have it on good authority that some of our esteemed GBers have a bit of a crush on Mr. Fincher, so I thought they might enjoy that one.

Has Fincher just told Jake his fly was open? Or is something more interesting innocent happening here?

Boo! :) :(

We need captions for this one!

Rendition:

How you doin'?

Another one in need of a caption!

Brothers:

Can't wait to hear some more about Brothers. We need more tatooed, badass Jake. I know people were discussing this in the last post. I don't think it's odd that we haven't heard anything yet. It's summer blockbuster time. Brothers moment will come, I'm sure.

Nailed:

Prince of Persia:

Sorry, but that just never gets old. Well, for me anyway!
