52

Refreshing the post with a couple of new pictures of the #52 in NYC on 2/11:

I love lists. And surveys and questionnaires. Doesn't everyone? So imagine how happy I was to see that Forbes magazine, well known for its lists, recently published their newest list, the Forbes Star Currency survey, an exclusive look at what the business side of Hollywood really thinks of more than 1,400 working actors when it comes to ensuring the financial success of film projects. Fourteen hundred. One thousand four hundred. That's a lot of working actors they were asked to comment on.

The Forbes Star Currency survey was sent to entertainment industry members globally, asking them to use a provided scale in ranking those 1,400-plus actors as individuals on a range of attributes regarding their participation in a film, including the actor's ability to attract significant financing to a project with their involvement; if their presence guarantees theatrical distribution; if they significantly drive theatrical box office performance; and if their involvement is an essential component in securing rights deals for revenue streams including DVD, pay/free TV, etc.

Members of the entertainment industry ranked Will Smith No. 1 on the survey. I guess that's not a big surprise. But in scrolling down that list I note that the first under-30 actor represented was Shia LeBeouf, who at age 22 placed 33rd. That's certainly a nice feather. Scrolling further down the list the next under-30, Keira Knightly, places 42nd.

The third under-30 on the Forbes list comes in at number 52.

On a list of over 1,400 working actors. Well color me IMPRESSED!

Lazy hazy days of winter

Jake at LAX on Sunday:

Shopping and sharing a meal - sounds like Saturday in L.A. for Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.

How many Jakes does it take to open the door of an SUV?

No hat, no scarf, no sweat

Just refreshing the post - new Jake from yesterday:

New pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal in Los Angeles yesterday. Isn't winter in Southern California grand?

Also, take a look at this blog post about the Fincher tribute. Some wonderful pictures of Jake and a really fun post.

And finally, some footage of Jake onstage at the SBFF:

More stageside and courtside

The Santa Barbara Independent has a photographer covering the SBFF. And there are some Jake Gyllenhaal shots from the Fincher tribute:

This actually looks like it could be a shot from a Fincher film.

And this looks like a poster for a Fincher film. Eliot Ness, anyone? The Shadow, maybe?

Ol' Blue Eyes

It's a shame Jake is so sad these days, isn't it?

"So I say: 'You couldn't get it in the first 90 takes?'"

"You know it's true, Fincher."

And Sports Illustrated had some Jake and Reese shots from the Lakers game. Haven't seen these anywhere else.

Someone's looking pretty proud of himself!
