All Aboard?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Monaghan will appear with Jake Gyllenhaal in Source Code, and Vera Farmiga is also in negotiations to join the cast:

Farmiga will play a hands-on communications officer controlling Gyllenhaal as he travels through time and space. Monaghan is a woman on the train with whom the man is involved romantically.

(Photo strip shamelessly stolen from The Film Stage. It's too late for me to try to make one of my own!)

Not sure how I feel about this. I wasn't crazy about Monaghan in Gone Baby Gone. And she doesn't match what I've heard about the character. OTOH, I loved Vera Farmiga in Up in the Air and The Departed, so I'm happy about her involvement.

A blog also posted some cool photos of the train station that will be used for filming:

Training ground

Looks like we know what the train station will look like in Source Code. The Jake Gyllenhaal movie will film at the Ottawa train station in March. The station was selected for its "futuristic" design: "Built in 1966 and designed by John B. Parkin & Associates, it won a Massey Medal for architecture in 1967 and was named by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada as one of the country's Top 500 buildings of the last millennium."

The story in the Ottawa Citizen also indicates that Ben Kingsley will star in the movie. So Nizam and Dastan will reunite. The question is whether Kingsley is playing his usual villain.

Can Jake Gyllenhaal save our train station?

Found this Lego picture - I don't think we've seen this box before.

Planes, trains and automobiles

Thanks to Stephanie for the sneak peek of Jake on ET tomorrow night:

You can also download the video at IHJ. Thanks, Stephanie!

Some new/old pictures gave me an idea for a theme: Jake Gyllenhaal in transport.

I'd know that ear anywhere!

Whatcha hiding, Jake?

Caught in the act!

Fly the friendly skies.

For the purposes of this post, standing next to a car, especially standing without a shirt on, counts as "in transport."

So happy!

Venice! Sigh...

Shirtless rule also applies to see-through.

Let's photoshop more things into Jake's hands!

How are you, Knot's Landings' Ted Shackelford?

What a cruelly misleading sign.

Hey, Jake, Reese - watch out for Edward Scisshorhands!

"Stop. STOP IT!"

We see you!

"stndng n/jake gillenhall rgt now OMG must sty cool"

Casual, classic Jake, circa 2006.

Scarf? Check. Toothpick? Check. Pap check? Check.

Back seat, black tie Jake.

Jake's on a train!
