The Golden Globes, the NFL playoffs, Downton Abbey. Sunday night had it all. But the biggest news of the night was that Jake Gyllenhaal was finally captured on film without The Beard.
Jake has been seen in the Atlanta area, preparing to film Prisoners with Hugh Jackman. Shooting is scheduled to begin on January 16.

Well, the GGs had it all: the good, the bad and the ugly.
ReplyDeleteDignified speeches (Daniel Day Lewis), laugh-out-loud moments (Will Ferrell left me in stitches; Tina & Amy FTW).
Cringy moments, awkward pairings, WTF faces (Swift losing to Adele - yay!; B. Cooper losing to Jackman - well deserved).
And lots of booze. Quite the party. Most of the winners felt to me like the real people's choice.
Bale was chosen to present David O. Russell's movie; Renner - Kathryn Bigelow's movie; Jamie - Tarantino's movie. Not to be a one trick pony, but Jake should have presented Ang Lee's movie.
Yet, I think I understand why he has chosen not to be there; to spend Golden Globes night at the Brooklyn Nets game with his family. Good for him!
The cherry on the pie though was coming here to see Jake's beautiful face and smile: hello there, long time no see you! :D

That beautiful face has returned! (me doing a happy dance) he looks so good. I only wish he'd realize that beard doesn't do much for him.
I think the beard does a lot for him. For one thing, it obviously made him happy. And a lot of people loved it. For some, it showed a different side to Jake.
So even though I'm happy he shaved, our feelings on the subject don't really matter much.
I didn't mind the chia pet either but it's good to see that beautiful face!

ReplyDeleteI saw Django. It was disappointing. Not a bad movie, it's good, but Tarantino was much better with Inglourious Basterds. And Pulp Fiction is still my favorite movie of him.
In some moments I was bored, especially in the final minutes.
I enjoyed all the performances, but DiCaprio was the best for me. Waltz is good, but the performance felt the same as IB.
