More from the Source

Jake out for lunch in LA on Monday:

Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted with his mother, Naomi Foner, in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Here's a shot of Jake in Berlin, at the Bild offices. Thanks to Monica for the find.

A couple of amusing new Source Code interviews:

But for how long :)

He does look good, though.

I found a fun interview from the PoP days.

That's a great picture of Jake with Naomi, UV. Thanks for the interview finds as well.

Love the Mom's day pic with Jake and Naomi!

The interviewer is lucky that she can go back and relive the hug from Jake:)

mary said...

yea i know UV he will have to be shaving his head again soon too bad he had to shave it just for one daybut i guess they wanted to see how he looked with it in unifrom

bobbyanna said...

I hope they decided that they don't like it so much and let it grow out a little. Just a little.

I loved how his hair looked during SC promotions.

Jake's hair grows really fast, he looks really cool here and Naomi is looking good!

Thanks for posting the new SC interviews.

Mom and Son look good here and it must be chilly in L.A., Jake had his 66 jacket zipped up pretty tight there!

I love when Jake gets flirty during inviews and also appears to bit tired too:)

I like these photos of Jake and mom too, It looks like they enjoyed spending Mother's Day together. I hope everyone here enjoyed their Mother's day as well.

That interviewer is overly giddy, don't blame her one bit!

Wasn't there a storyline a few years ago on Entourage where one of the characters lost the role of Aqua man to Jake? There was speculation then that Jake may make a cameo, so maybe the twet is true!

UltraViolet said...

There was, tweety. Brokeback motherfucking Aquaman!

I have always wondered if Jake would make a cameo. Guess he might!

Posted a new photo of Jake from yesterday.

bobbyanna said...

Hope it's true. It would be fun to see him do Entourage. BTW: Didn't we read a tweet or something about Jake having lunch with Piven, late last year, I think? Maybe I'm imagining it.

Thanks for posting the new "hottie" pic. : )

UltraViolet said...

There was a sighting, though I think it was unclear if they were together.

I fixed the photos and added a couple, thanks to Stephanie. He does look pretty good :)

He looks great as always. I've never seen Entourage. It would be great to see Jake do more TV (I've seen lots of actors do cameos)

Don't ask me why I'm looking at youtube videos instead of working, but I found this comment on the Fandango L&OD interview with Jake and Anne H. It's from the interviewer:

If it's interesting to know, just before my interview Anne and Jake had been cracking each other up by imitating one another while getting makeup touch ups. When I finally got to start with them, they (obviously) were having a really hard time keeping it together and fighting back their giggles. I ended up with a lot of footage of those two giggling and apologizing for being loopy at the end of a long day of interviews.

Wouldn't you love to see that footage! We talked about this a while back. There's all that unseen footage of Jake from press conferences and interviews, etc. It's tantalizing.

LOLOL!

UV, the interviews on the LAOD press junket was some of the best stuff I've ever seen! The rapport Jake & Anne had, and the way they "improv'd" I'm not surprised there's extra footage of them.

More than that, I agree with you, there's a treasure trove of other Jake stuff we haven't seen. The quest goes on...;)

He's much more sexy with this new look.

For all the people who are missing the Railroad Revival Tour, in this video we can see Jake playing trumpet:

Found these pics of Jake out & about on Tuesday - Do we think he knows just how smoking hot he is!!!!!

Smoking hot is the right description T and I do think that this is the sexiest I have seen Jake look Monica, I wouldn't mind at all if he kept this look:)

It looks like Jake may make a cameo on Entourage, that would be fantastic!

I swear I saw a bit of an LAOD interview with Jake and Anne where they were tired/loopy and they were imitating each other, it was brief, so maybe this is more of that?

mary said...

yes jake is looking smoking hot.

stephanie also has the pictures up in the gallery

More info on End of Watch. First, I'm not sure if this tweet means they are up for acquisition or have been acquired. There's no news on EoW being purchased:

Official Acquisition: 'Snitch' starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and 'End of Watch' starring Jake Gyllenhaal!

The distributor, EFI, has some interesting info on the film. I hadn't heard this before:

Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds entirely through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city’s darkest, most violent corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.

Thanks for the video, Monica!

I think I heard that EOW was going to be shot like a documentary so that description sounds about right UV.

It makes it sound more interesting and would explain the budget being at 5 million.

So, like cinema vérité-style? This could be very interesting.

I think shooting EOW like a documentary puts an interesting spin on things. I wish the movie were coming out next year

bobbyanna said...

I'm very encouraged by this. It does sound interesting.

FYI, in 2007, Brian De Palma made a movie about the Iraq War called
"Redacted." EOW sounds like what he did with that film.

It was a very harrowing experience to watch it. I highly reccommend it if anyone wants to get a taste of what Jake might be in for.

Thanks, bobbyanna. But I for one will be giving that a miss. Call me crazy, but I think a film about a war in Iraq and a film about the LAPD might be a teensy bit different. Coming from a law enforcement family I'm excited about EoW.

bobbyanna said...

FL, I wasn't talking subject matter,so much, I was talking about the technique. I understand your perspective is pretty unique, given your family background.

But there were definitely aspects of the De Palma film that were very much in line with urban policing, and police action.

This particular Iraq War movie was a very different kind of movie. I hope people can check it out. De Palma was pretty innovative in the way he did it.

Chica said...

I'm a big fan of Police/crime dramas and i'm looking forward to EOW.

I never saw Redacted by DePalma Bobbyanna, I'll check it out!

I keep forgetting to mention that Mary Hart did the Top 10 list on Letterman last night. Number three on the list of things she's learned from hosting Entertainment Tonight: "I still can't tell the difference between Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal."

She actually cracked up and almost couldn't spit it out.

Directorial debut: Naomi Foner

bobbyanna said...

Thank goodness! we're back! I was having withdrawal symptoms. : ) Yeah, monica, the last few posts have 'disappeared.'

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like Jake is in full out prep mode for EOW.

bobbyanna said...

Really great news about Naomi, too!

UltraViolet said...

That Blogger downtime did suck. As did their lack of communication on the issue. We need a back up plan!

Good for Naomi. I hope her directorial debut goes well. I'm not a boxing fan but wouldn't mind seeing a little footage of Jake in the ring. I hope he protects his face!

bobbyanna said...

UV, my daddy was a boxer, (before my time) so I grew up watching boxing on TV...but I agree, Jake 's gotta protect that face. : )

I suspect that's photoshopped anon., no doubt done by one of the "talented" members of Jake's fandom who find this sort of thing amusing and obviously has too much time on their hands. Stretching in the hallway of a hotel in his underwear? Really? I wonder if this was done by the same "fan" who did the LAOD fake pic. The TMZ tag is a nice touch unless that's where this was sent and found, sigh.

I remember David Denby mentioning Naomi directing back in Oct. at Jake's Q&A, what fantastic news and a great cast!

TW, Google sucks moose balls, how many "glitches" has Google/blogger has had in tha last few months?

Extra said...

I csn post again, finally!

How great that Naomi will get a chance to direct and her son in law is in it as well!

I love Sissy and this sounds like an interesting project.

If the source of that fake pic is TMZ, then anon. should have linked to the site instead of linking to their tumbler creation, my 5 year old nephew photoshops better than that.
