I thought the Jake and Reese leasing a flat in NH was old news, but according to this blog, someone told them over the wekend that they are leasing:

Can't imagine why they would be leasing now after Pop has wrapped, but who knows. They also speculate that Jake never owned his place in the H. Hills,but was leasing it which would explain why the house is up for sale but there is no public records of him selling it the real estate agency is probably selling it and using Jake as a soon to be former resident. I remember reading one of the rags saying that he sold it and used the $$$ to upgade the ranch in Ojai.
PS: I actually like Jake with that cap!

Where I'm confused is about the Hollywood Hills stuff. Am I crazy or did I actually read somewhere ages ago, as in more than two years ago, that when Heath and Michelle bought Ellen's "tree house" Jake was going to be their neighbor bcz he either owned or had purchased a house in the same neighborhood. I remember it was also in the same area where Kirsten Dunst was also a neighbor.

No you are not having "brain fog" bobbyanna! I remember, it was in '06 and they did say it was in the H. Hills near where Heath, Michele and Kristen lived. The pap pics we saw of him were taken in the H. Hills area, don't remember reading that he had a condo unless it was the place in ny that was/is actually owed by his parents.
ReplyDeleteI was going to dismiss this as old news/gossip used to pimp some property in the UK but why would the blogger bother with this now and not last month when it first popped up. They could have and probably made up the bit about that person contacting them over the weekend, but what would be the point.
Also interesting they think Jake leases the place in H. Hills and doesn't own it. If true then that means if the rag stories are true about him selling the place, it could actually mean he is no longer leasing it and the real estate agency is putting it on the market for sale.
IMO Jake has been living with Reese lot longer than some thought and they spend a lot more time at the ranch then Brentwood, just a feeling I have.
I think it would depend on the kids' schedules. If they're in school,then the ranch might be for weekends, mostly, unless they are with their father, then she and Jake are probably at the ranch, unless they have meetings and appointments etc. in town. Brentwood is still primary because of the kids.

I am always suspicious about rumours especially from anons but it would be great if the London play-rumour is true which was posted some time ago - then at least the London-house-leasing- story would make sense.

I'd forgotten about the London play - I suppose over here for negotiations is a possiblity, although the weather we've had since Sunday might have put him off an extended stay, cold with freezing rain (although there is some sun at the moment!).

TMZ picked up the UK flat story. I'm convinced that they are just using Jake and Reese to sell the flat since it's up for sale. Even if they wanted to rent a flat in London, it wouldn't be this one considering the news has been splashed all over the place!

I think this place was rented by Jake (and Reese), but probably is no longer. I remember seeing pics of Reese leaving the Alice Temperley boutique in Notting Hill. That shop was a stone's throw away from this house.

I agree FL,past tense. It would make more sense for the Real Estate agency to say that they rented it when Jake was there filming, they still would get people interested in buying it if that's what they are doing.
