I'd bet he has either a stress fracture or a severe strain/sprain on a ligament. In either case, he needs to stay off the damned thing. Give it a chance to mend. I'm thinking the boy's in pain. Truthfully, there are any number of ways he could pass the time while his ankle is mending...at the very least, he should be on a couch with is leg propped up...

But I think UV is on target...... what ARE the 2 of them doing to further exacerbate his injury? And judging by these pics, Reese doesn't look like she feels the least little bit guilty for any setback their horseplay might have caused him.

OK. So according to this video, they were in separate cars. She parallel parks in front, with her SUV, or station wagon or whatever it is. And he was parked in back. But that was him in his car slowing down to make sure she was OK getting into her car, right?

ReplyDeleteHe doesn't look all that lame in the Sunday X17 vid. So I don't see why it would bother him to drive, especially since it's his left ankle that's sprained and he doesn't need his left foot to drive. :-)
Unless he's a two-footed driver of an automatic shift car like me, in which case he WOULD need his left foot to drive. ;-p
Ok, I went back to look at the video, yes he is still limping but the fact that he was using his crutch one day and then not the next probably means he thinks tha it's no big deal and he doesn't need to be driven around.

Oddly,at times they seem fine with attention, and then they don't. I'm not talking about paps per se, bcz they probably hate pap intrusions, generally, but tolerate them better at some times then at others.
ReplyDeleteBut what I'm talking about is how sometimes they duck and dodge and turn away, hide faces, etc. and travel separately, and other times they are all hugged up.
This phenom usually occurs when something is going on. Like promoting a movie, or some other stuff. I wonder if something is happening, or about to happen, and they are doing the separate act for a reason. Bcz with these two, they do stuff for a reason. Or so it seems.
Ay poor Jake. :( Not liking to see him continue to be injured. I do hope he will take care of himself and that he will be taken care of by Reese and all his loved ones. Thanks for all the info/links, etc.

ReplyDeletePersonally I think that the paps have been a little too close for comfort lately. They've been photographed A LOT these past two weeks. I think Jake is probably just sick of it. Besides, he's probably feeling some discomfort with the foot and is ready to SNAP, lol.

The only thing these two are "up to" is that they are probably living together now, or about to be living together, and are making their arrangements, decorating, etc. I wonder if they will spend Easter together? Reese goes to church with her kids.

It's just that in the past, Rendition being the classic example, when something was going on, like doing/promoting the movie, Reese and Jake tried to keep their private lvies under wraps. It sems they've done it several times since then, most recently before Reese was promoting Penelope. And in the past, there were the divorce related issues, too. So I was wondering out loud what might be going on that would cause them to not want to be seen together...after they were seen together. I know. I'm not saying this very well. And maybe I see patterns where there are none.

I understand what you were getting at. I guess the reason I don't necessarily agree with that is because, first of all, I don't think either of them have anything to promote. Second, Reese just finished her promoting "Penelope" I can't think of anything else she'd be promoting so soon.
I just think Jake is getting sick of the attention. I have heard people say how he never smiles the way he use to with the paps. But he is under so much more scrutiny now than he ever was before. Before he probably had someone take his pic at events and premieres and maybe a candid once in a while. Now he's constantly harrassed by the paps.
I can't imagine that being too much fun after a while.

ReplyDeleteAh, it feels good to be back in the friendly waters! Gyllenspooner, while it's true that the pap pressure on Jake is at an all-time high, he is no stranger to the papa. If anything, there are fewer Jake pigs than inprevious years, mostly because Jake and Reese go put of their way to avoid them.

My take on it is that he has been hanging out in Brentwood pretty much all week and that Ryan had the kids. She may feel a bit uncomfortable if it got out that he spends most of his time there.
The Sunday video would indicate to me that that he was going back to his place, maybe Ryan was dropping the kids back or she was picking them up so it was time for him to go home.
Just speculation of course!

Now, just like we didn't want to get anyone riled up when we first showed pictures of him in an air cast as he limped around Santa Monica with gal pal Reese Witherspoon, so do we want everyone to remain calm now with this new shot of him with a crutch.

ReplyDeleteI was also "consulting" :), with someone who knows about such things, and she speculated that it is a very real possibility that the paps get more $$$$ when they get pics of them together. When they get separate shots not so much $$$. The pic where Reese is so far in front of him when he is on his crutch, the guess was that she was trying to move out of the shot.
Also, my consultant speculated that R&J might be more irritated with these LA paps then the ones in other places,(NYC) and so make things harder for them. Kind of payback.
I think your "consultant" was right, Bobbyanna. It's clear the paps want the money shot of Jake and Reese together, and on some days, like at the Farmers Market, they don't mind giving it to them. Other days, they resist.

Turns out we caught up with the couple after their first destination - a little chapel where they enjoyed a private sermon together!

Second how did they know they went to church before hand especially if they were in seperate cars.
There was some chatter last year of them attending church together a few times and Sunday was Palm Sunday, if so you would think that they would be a little more dressed up, Hmmmmm.
That said this isn't the first time that site has hinted at marriage or that flynet tags their pictures of them with wedding bells, do they know something??
