In bed with Ed

I'm reminded of the Freudian adage that when two people go to bed, there are six people in the room - their parents included. In this case, when two actors go to bed, it's the director who's there too. ~ Ed Zwick on Love & Other Drugs ...Proving that old filmmaking adage that there's never any intimacy in filming love scenes.

With a little more than two months to opening it looks like we're starting to get some print publicity for LaOD. So yay for that!

And those lucky enough to grab tickets will be able to see Jake and Ed Zwick sit down with David Denby on October 2nd as part of The New Yorker Festival. More info can be found here.

  1. What a wonderful photo of Jake and Anne! Thanks, FL.

I know that SOP for actors promoting their film is to divide and conquer, but I would so love to see the 2 of them make a promotional appearance together. I'm not her biggest fan, but perhaps Oprah will plug L&OD on her show and have them on.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I do wonder if L&OD might be a little too risque for Oprah's viewing audience. I'll be curious to see how this is promoted and on what shows.

Forgot to reply to Bobbyanna in the last post about the FB sighting of Jake in NYC. Judging by the restaurant in question, I'd say that was definitely Jake that girl had a convo with. :-) The CZ strikes again!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Dang, I didn't think about the too risque for Oprah factor.

Maybe there will at least be a print interview with the 2 of them together.

    ReplyDelete
  4. You're right, FL! Hadn't thought about the CZ. I noticed the girl didn't mention a beard.:)

Suvee, I'd LOVE to see Annie and Jake do an interview together! Altho, it might be just as much fun to hear her talk about Jake.

  6. Saw your FB sighting Bobbyanna and he definately is in his CZ:)

I'm looking forward to both Jake and Anne doing PR for LAOD, it is a bit raunchy for Oprah I agree but I would love if she had them both on her show.

Good luck to anyone trying to get tickets to Jake's Q&A in NY!!

I love the scans from W of Jake and Anne, too bad Jake has on a shirt!

    ReplyDelete
  7. yea i saw the article in w magazine today at the store and looks like the publicity has started hope we get alot more an i hope anne and jake do a lot of the promotion together which i would think they would they have good chemistry together

    ReplyDelete
  8. Oh, thanks for posting the story, FL! I like it. (And thanks to IHJ, of course.)

Seeing Jake and Gemma together oh so briefly on that MTV show and on the red carpet really made me wish we'd seen them do more promotion together.

I'm not sure how Jake and Anne would/will be, but I hope we find out.

Thanks for the link, Leonor. I still think it's funny that Jake chose Clint Eastwood as his style icon.

Finally back home, I'll have to check out the FB sighting. And the details on the New Yorker thing. I wish I could go to that! Like all of us, I know.

  9. so there is a possibility that jake has shaved his beard? I hope so! I would love to see jake and anne to a magazine photoshoot like michelle williams and ryan gossling did for W.

  10. Oprah has had shows where they talk about sex.
I don't think her audience are women at home who are sheltered and offended by even the mention of it.
She did have a BBM show.

    ReplyDelete
  11. What facebook post are you talking about and what did it say?

    ReplyDelete
  12. The picture of Jake and Anne in bed is great - they seem to have fun and are feeling comfortable with each other.

I also don´t see the problems with Oprahs audience - although I do not like her very much and I disliked her interview/show for BBM.

LAOD is already getting good buzz and talking on the net, hopefully we will be getting much more publicity during the next weeks.

  13. Love the W scans, thanks FL!!

I used to like Oprah, but now she just gets on my nerves, but Jake and Anne appearing on her show would be sa major boost IMO.

It does's sound like he shaved from that sighting!

I wish I could attend that Q&A, hope some lucky GB'er gets lucky!

  14. Jake Gyllenhaal has to be the BEST groupie/friend a band could ask for.

    From twitter:

  15. I like the relaxed chemistry between Anne and Jake.
I can't wait for promotion to start. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I cannot believe how many people believed that photoshopped pic of Jake. Even Lainey posted it today. People are very gullible.

Awe, Jake went to see Jenny again. He has an aural CZ, too!

I can't find the tweet now but someone said s/he saw Maggie and Peter with Ramona and that peter's beard was out of control. I wondered at the time if it was Jake. The concert sighting makes me wonder again.

  17. I can't find the tweet now but someone said s/he saw Maggie and Peter with Ramona and that peter's beard was out of control. I wondered at the time if it was Jake.

These pics of Peter are from last Wednesday. I doubt his beard would have grown to the point of "out of control" in a matter of 4 days. And since Jake is channeling Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill AND Rick Rubin of late, I'd say the tweeter saw Jake and not Peter! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I ordered my ticket for the Q&A with Jake, Zwick and Denby on 10/2!!

Jake is definately a J. Lewis fanboy and I think you may be on to something with the tweet mixing up Jake and Peter:))

    ReplyDelete
  19. UV, that picture's been all over twitter! I just told Lainey on twitter that she'd been punk'd and the picture was photoshopped.

I can't stand her. I hope she hears from more people.

I guess Jake's hangin' in Brooklyn. Bet his family attends the panel discussion. David Denby's a pretty influential critic.

Ramona is just adorable. She's got beautiful eyes.

Yay, chica!!! Hope you'll get to see it!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lainey is an idiot, how can she or anyone think that pic of Jake was real? Glad you tweeted her on her error Bobbyanna!!

Can't wait until the LAOD PR gears up!

So Jake is in NY, sounds like he is have a great time, but I do hope he shaves by Oct, 2nd I miss the clean shaven Jake.

So glad that you got a ticket Chica, YAY!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. aww that sucks he still has that beard, but with that Q&A coming up he'll probably shave i just have to be patient.

Congrats chica on getting a ticket thats awesome!

That's exactly how I feel about her, lola. But I found it irresistible, to point out her mistake. Not nice, I know.;)

I hope people who have twitter will checkout the way this misinformation is ciculating. It isn't just Lainey. She didn't even start it. It surfaced a while ago and was proven to be a fake. It disappeared, now it is back full throttle. People are saying that it's from LAOD.

Yeah the coming around again of that shopped pic is interesting. Personally I hate that people with only a passing knowledge of Jake are completely bamboozled by it and believe it.

On...the...other...hand...I'm sure the studio is ecstatic this pic is circulating. Free publicity for the film without them having to lift a hand.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, sue me. I found a link to the original picture, and sent it to Perez Hilton. Told him about Lainey.

Wonder if he'll do anything. He could just ignore me, or post a correction, or claim it's Jake, and look even dumber than he already is.

FL, maybe you're right and the LAOD PR people don't care. The picture just creeps me out, because it is obviously not Jake. And his head attached to someone else's body looks really dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  25. glad you got a ticket chica be sure and tell us all about it

    ReplyDelete
  26. Couple of tweets of Jake in NYC tonight.

I was unclear earlier. The Maggie/"Peter" tweet was from a few days ago. So Peter could have shaved in the meantime but it was probably Jake.

Yay on the ticket, chica. I can't wait to hear all the details.

Bobbyanna, thanks for trying to squelch that photo nonsense. I don't know why it all flared up again. I find it completely unsexy, Jake or original version. I guess it is getting the movie some attention.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "On...the...other...hand...I'm sure the studio is ecstatic this pic is circulating. Free publicity for the film without them having to lift a hand."

Exactly - I would not even be surprised if they leaked the picture themselves...!

Most of the comments are hilarious...some people are pointing out that it is fake but nobody wants to hear these news..:-))

Good news for SC, Duncan Jones twittered:

"Have a bloody fantastic bit of Source Code news. Super star Clint Mansell WILL be scoring the film. You have no idea how relieved I am."

Chica, congrats- that is great - we are getting a first hand report from the Q&A event!

I was annoyed at first with that fake pic of Jake circulating as real but the second time around is just ridiculous and shows how dumb and lazy some people are like Lainey.

I hope Jake and Anne do at least one talk show together.

  36. LOL! Chica, that is the last thing in the world I ever want to be!
But that the damned fake picture was allll over the place, and Perez gets a zillion hits a day.

The fact that Lainey, who I cannot stand, looks double dumb, is icing. I bet Perez gave her a heads up, then waited before posting it. I actually had to send him both pictures. It's not like he "investigates" anything.

I love how he said it was the abs! I did tell him those were definitely not Jake's abs!:)
Believe me, this is not something I would ever do on a regular basis.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Forgot to say good job, Bobbyanna. What you/we do for Jake - dealing with Lainey AND Perez! Maybe now you can get the idiot Perez to spell Jake's name correctly.

The fake photo kerfuffle actually made it to AdWeek.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks for the AdWeek link, UV. Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but it seems like they're implying that the photoshopped picture is an official part of the LAOD advertising campaign, and since Jake "would rather not" do a photoshoot like this, they used a body double. Which is a load of crap. This is some "fan art."...in the broadest sense.:) I didn't think it had any connection to LAOD.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I did not know, but I read that it was Jake who introduced Peter to Maggie.

Awww, Chica. This is great news.

  59. They just didn't want to put it in a Festival. Not every movie is and sometimes movies that are expected to be a big deal, end up not being a big deal. And some that are still don't win the main prize. They have already had the buzz for the film out there.
It looks like they are taking this one month at a time. The big talk about the Festivals are now over.
Meanwhile LAOD and i'm sure some other movies are moving along and will be getting even more attention in the next couple months. Fresh in the mind of everyone.

  61. ‘Love & Other Drugs’ to open AFI Fest

    Wonderful news. :)

Adam Levine talks Lady Gaga and pal Jake Gyllenhaal: Will everyone stop thinking that dude is gay? Seriously guys.”

There's a small fragment of Jake fans who will always believe Mr. Casablanca, no matter what Jake's friends or Jake himself say.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well then they're homophobes not "fans." They "accuse" him of being gay as if it were something to be ashamed of. They know perfectly well it's hurtful in a million ways large and small.

Because he "bottomed" for Heath, he has borne the brunt of criticism. Some people will never get over it. These are not fans. These are sick, despicable pieces of crap.

They accuse him of lying about his sexuality and being 'closeted' which is a f#*king insult, when he has said on more than one occasion that he is not gay.

Jake's been the personification of "grace under pressure" and he's never abandoned his convictions as if they were a suit of clothes you take off or put on when it's expedient.

So all those so-called "fans" you're referring to, "JF," can shove it where the sun don't shine until they choke to death on their own venom.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The thing is Jake has always tried to not be insulting to gays.
He has said he has known gay people ever since he was a kid and they're just people to him.
Also think for some they want him to be Jack and won't forgive him for not being that character.
They're even more angry when he has girlfriends.
They live in that world and no matter how much the truth is shown to them they will not believe it.
A sad life i would say.

Maybe Fox has a clear plan on promoting the movie, LAOD will get some nice buzz from this, a few weeks before it opens.

Love all the tweets about the screenings::))

Amen JF and Bobbyanna. Online fandoms and fans can be downright sleazy, creepy and appalling. It's even more shocking when you find out the ages of these so-called "fans".

IMO they only pretend to care about his movies, they seem to only care about his personal life.

Jake and his friends vs his so-called online "fans"? There really isn't a choice there is it?

I will join in you Bobyanna in wishing they would choke on their own homophobic venom, because they are homophobic, just too dumb to realize it.

  65. The AFI news is really great. AFI festival is a pretty heavy "industry" type thing,so maybe Zwick, et al are serious about Oscar contention. And the news about PoP topping the charts in sales AND rentals is really sweet.

  66. Bless you, Adam! You are indeed a good friend. IMO it's about time one of his friends publically took on the gay-mongers.

ITA. You know, life is hard enough under the best of circumstances, but when you cannot separate reality from fantasy..... well, that's a real handicap. I don't hate these "fans", I pity them. 69. We sit down and chat with 'Love & Other Drugs' director Edward Zwick

Make sure to keep an eye out for an upcoming feature where we have a sit down with a modern legend in the world of film. Edward Zwick, who has directed films like The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond, Defiance, and Glory, has a new film on it's way called Love & Other Drugs starring Jake Gyllenhall and Anne Hathaway. Let me just get this out of the way, the movie is phenomenal, and while I can't share all the details with you just yet, take my word for it, this is one to look out for. We were lucky enough to grab a few minutes of Mr. Zwick's time and chat a bit about the upcoming Rom-Com-Dram (my term...trademarked, don't steal it). Well be sure to let you know as soon as the interview goes live but until then here are a few highlights.

  70. I remember reading this on Jake-wierd and it completely summed my feelings up on the gay issue.

Q: "Why do people keep insisting that Jake Gyllenhaal is gay? Is it because of Brokeback Mountain? Certain blogs out there label actors as "gay" as if they were talking about their eye color, but isn't the goal to keep everyone out of everybody else's bedroom, actor or no actor? I never understood how people can't see that labeling someone as gay (who isn't) even if you’re gay yourself is homophobic and harmful. Basically you're proving that there is something wrong with being gay by using it as a weapon. – Cassie, Austin, TX

A: Fantasy wish-fulfillment aside, I’ve always thought it was lazy and simple-minded to label an actor “gay” just because he’s played a gay role. As I’ve said many times, if you want to know who’s gay and closeted in Hollywood, look to the actors who have never played a gay role. When it comes to Jake Gyllenhaal, it’s particularly annoying because I honestly believe the guy deserves a lot of credit for taking that role in Brokeback Mountain, especially since it involved him being on the “receiving end” in the tent scene. In 2005 America, for an up-and-coming lead male actor, this was a pretty big deal (and I’m completely serious about this). But yeah, all the gossiping and rumor-mongering about Jake just proves the most cynical people in Hollywood right: that American audiences are too stupid to separate an actor from the roles he plays. And from gay blogs, no less? Sheesh.Still, I disagree with you a bit about the ultimate “goal” of the GLBT movement. Brokeback Mountain tent scene aside, being gay isn’t really about sex. There are two parts of being gay: the private part, which is what we do in our bedrooms (and kitchens and living rooms and hot tubs, if we’re lucky); and the public part, which is about relationships and rights. The only part that concerns heterosexuals is the second part".

    ReplyDelete
  71. And yet I didn't think there was a lot of naked Anne at all. Certainly not the amount of au naturale we've been reading about for months. Just back from the Boston screening.

    Jake has a beautiful body.

    The movie was sweet.

I saw no evidence of merkins anywhere.

I understand those who single out Anne's performance over Jake's. Anne has the spunkier, more dramatic arc, while Jake has the more comedic arc. And you know, his innate sweetness is just there on the surface.

The most important thing is :Is the movie good? :)

  75. yea bless adam for what he said hes a good friend and good news about LOAD opening the afi festival

  77. I've just been reading earlier screening reviews on IMdB to sort of compare and contrast what I saw tonight.

Maybe I'm desensitized to sex acts on screen but what I saw tonight doesn't really jibe with what others saw in earlier screenings. Which makes me think they cleaned it up a bit. There were no long, lingering shots of naked Jake and Anne in the throes of passion. No full frontal of Anne either.

I won't spoil any of it for you, though I'll just say that the opening scene ranks right up there with my favorite Jake scenes.

Earlier reviews talked about the intimacy of relationships between Jake and Anne's characters and that's true. But a lot of it was played for laughs as well. Most, not all, of Jake's bare-assed scenes for instance were played that way.

I didn't realize Jake and Josh Gad's characters had a sister. Thankless, one scene, job. As well as their mother and father, Jill (we hardly knew ye) Clayburgh and George Segel.

I've always liked Jake's subtle acting, and he makes the most of it in this film, in the quiet moments of the film.

I don't know what the Academy looks for in a performance, so I have no idea if Anne is Oscar-worthy. I'm not really an Anne fan. I find it funny that she's been attached to some Judy Garland biopic because in my eyes she looks nothing like Judy Garland and everything like a young Liza Minelli. Which is disconcerting to me. I can't UNsee that anymore.

The performances were perfectly fine. Naturally I'd give the edge to Jake over Anne, because I'm built that way. :-)

  78. There were no long, lingering shots of naked Jake and Anne in the throes of passion.

I should clarify that. There were lots of scenes of them in various sex acts, but nothing that made me feel like I was intruding on their lovemaking sessions, as I've seen mentioned in earlier reviews. Nor did I find those scenes particularly sexy. I can never fully take myself out of the moment - I always find myself thinking how uncomfortable and unsexy filming those scenes are for actors.

  79. Thank you! :)

I have a friend who said the same thing.

  80. And having nothing at all to do with anything, but Jake's cheekbone's were super well-defined in this film. I don't think I've ever seen his cheekbones looking so sharp.

His skin looked really nice, too.

    Thank you so much(((hugs)))
Can I ask omre thing(sorry)? Did Jake play a convincing womanizer ?? :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm sorry, I realize my thoughts are scattered and this isn't the best review. It's late.

Was Jake's Jamie Randall supposed to be some sort of cad with women until he meets the one woman who changes him? I love Jake, but he can't sell cad. A bit of a smooth-talker, a bit of a man that likes to sleep around, but nothing Jake brought to the role was that of a cad. He's just too damn sweet. Pinch-his-chiseled-cheekbones sweet.

  83. Ramona is adorable!

When I first saw that underwear picture, I thought "Jake isn't yet reduced to supporting himself by posing for cheesy beefcake pictures."

I think it's funny that so many people fell for it.

And good for you, Bobbyanna, for helping to dispel the rumor.

Fun comments today. I skimmed the LAOD ones, because I don't want to be spoiled for it.

Thanks for all the info, and the Jake love. :)

  84. Thanks for the non-spoilery review, FL. From most of the reactions this one looks like a hit for Jake, Anne and everyone involved.

"I love Jake, but he can't sell cad. A bit of a smooth-talker, a bit of a man that likes to sleep around, but nothing Jake brought to the role was that of a cad. He's just too damn sweet."

This could be a problem for future roles - if he wants to play a unlikeable character or a villain kicking some serious a** in film, he has to show the ability to carry such a part. Perhaps in "Source Code" he will be able to show this range.

    ReplyDelete
  85. There are such things as "likeable cads".
And there are ones who aren't..his role was to play a likeable one.
I bet when he does get a role as someone not so likeable (and anyone rem. that not all the time in Jarhead was he likeable) then he will be able to do it.
The fact more people will become Jake fans because of this role I think will be a plus for him. They won't be worried about him not being a good enough actor to carry off any other kind of role...they'll just think he's a good actor.

  86. Jake was tweeted at Momofuku Milk Bar last night with "three others" but no twitpics! :(

David Fincher was in town to open the NY Film Festival, which is usually less commercial and smaller than a lot of FF. Wonder if they hung out?

    LAOD:
I never read the book, haven't seen the movie, but maybe Jake's character isn't supposed to be a true cad? There's a scene where Anne says, "You're a good man." in the trailer.

Jake was pretty rough in Rendition, and he was pretty tough in Jarhead. So I think he has range.

I remember watching the deleted scenes in Rendition, being startled by his harshness with his girlfriend.

He does smoldering and explosive really well, I think.:)

(I agree about Anne and Judy Garland. )

  87. You were so lucky to get to see the screening FL, thanks for your non-spoilerish review!

So glad that there was no sight of the much talked about merkins::))
Sounds like this can be a hit, fingers crossed!

I see i'm not the only one that thinks tha Anne looks more like Liza than Judy. I almost forgot about her doing that bio.

  88. I really don't know what this woman is talking about. She was at the same preview screening as me.

suzanneday: In case anyone was wondering, LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS is one of the worst films I've seen in a while. Should come off any and all Oscar lists.

@LivingInCinema Hathaway really gave a lot to her role (not sure about Gyllenhaal), but the movie was just beyond tasteless.

The worst part is that I really WANTED to like the movie. I just can't believe what I just watched.

@LivingInCinema I like his [NB: Zwick's] other stuff ok, but this is messy. It's too comedic in some areas and too heavy in others; disrespectful in a way

"Beyond tasteless"? "Disrespectful"? Wonder what movie she saw. Surely she's joking.

    ReplyDelete
  89. How was the reaction of the public, FL?

Maybe she was offended by the scenes of nudity.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Sometimes people just don't like movies that have any sex or nudity in them. If she saw the poster that might of given her some idea what was going on.

Oh you're absolutely right, Bobbyanna! Although it would have changed the eventual outcome of the movie, I often wish they had left that scene in. He did that well.

How was the reaction of the public, FL?

They laughed in all the right places and politely applauded at the end of the film. Whether this was because it was a preview screening (I've been to several and the audience always applauds at the end) or because Zwick was there or because they just really really liked it, it doesn't matter. It got applause and not boos, so that's good. :-D

Zwick was there to introduce the film, briefly talked about wanting to portray the billion dollar pharma industry, but also wanting to get back to intimate storytelling, something he had done earlier in his career.

  92. Maybe the person who objected didn't like a comedic approach to someone with Parkinson's. Maybe she wanted "Love Story" (ugh!)

I'm wondering if this cut that you saw emphasized the comedy over the more serious aspects? Maybe they're testing out different versions?

In "The American," George Clooney of all people did one of the grittiest, realistic, hot, love scenes I've seen in a long time...by anyone...and all I could think of was "That would be great for Jake!" Obssessed much?! :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Thank, thank you FL!! Wow, were you lucky and Zwick was there as well! Love reading your review and thoughts and the audience reaction.

It doesn't sound too raunchy too me but I can see some that would be put off on some scenes.

The AFI announcement was a surprise since LAOD has been MIA at festivals but this is fantastic news!

I just hope Jake doesn't turn up looking like Jerimiah Johnson at his Q&A next week based on the tweets and FB sightings, ha, ha!!!

Good news on the sale and rental for Pop. There are is a whole new audience for this movie that unfortunately got lost this summer here in the States.

And thank you Mr. Levine, wise words from a good friend.

  94. I'm wondering if this cut that you saw emphasized the comedy over the more serious aspects? Maybe they're testing out different versions?

I don't know. Unless attendees from earlier previews report that last night's preview was a different cut, we have no way of knowing if that's the case. As I said last night, I feel like what I saw isn't exactly what other people saw in earlier screenings. Maybe I'm wrong.

There is still plenty of heavy drama, most of it coming from Anne. All of her scenes (except one) are with Jake which means that a lot of those are dramatic scenes (her disease, their sex). Though some of their scenes are played for comedy.

It doesn't sound too raunchy too me but I can see some that would be put off on some scenes.

I didn't think it was at all, Paula. But then I've been in Judd Apatow land for the past year. Anything else pales in comparison, lol.

  95. Really great news about the AFI Festival!! So glad that they are starting to really promote the film. I so wish I could go the the NYC Q&A next Saturday but I will be in Jersey that night...sigh.... :/ Chica, I hope you have a fantastic time!!

FL!!!! Thank you so much for that great review!!! Glad you got to see the film. :)

I don't get that woman's comments about the film...what is her problem?!?!

I totally agree with everyone here regarding Adam Levine's comments. Right on Adam and well said!!

I am squeeing at all the NYC sightings. I am on the lookout!

    Have a great Friday everyone.

  96. Also, there were two Jake mentions I saw/heard on tv. One was on the Rachel Zoe Project. I know people find her annoying but her assistant Brad is adorable. Anyway, he is a big Jake fan, has tweeted about him in the past, and they showed Brad watching the Oscar pre show and Jake came on and he swooned and said "OMG...Jake Gyllenhaal!". Loved that, lol. :p

Also Joy Behar, from the View, mentioned Jake on her show last night when talking about Joaquin Phoenix and how his movie is a hoax. She said she gets Jake and Joaquin because she thinks they look exactly alike. I was like...wtf?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  97. LOL Get real! Maybe Joy saw a recent pic of Jake aka Mountain man and compared Jake to Joaquin when he was doing his schtick!

It would have been great to hook up on 10/2 to see the Q&A together Get Real, I'll make sure to give an in depth report!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Joy (who i like) did that once before on The View when Anne was on the show..and she mentioned she was doing a movie with Jake and Joy said something about him having problems or being in trouble and Anne looked at her strangely and someone then said..think you mean Phoenix.
Someone should show her a picture or even better have him on her show.

  99. Peter Hammond watched LAOD?
LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS (Twentieth Century Fox - 11/24) This rare adult comedy from a major studio centers around a womanizing pharmaceutical salesman who falls hard for a free-spirited girl with early onset of Parkinsons disease. Director Ed Zwick delivers sex, drugs, nudity, and smart dialogue in a film that will do for Viagra what Social Network does for Facebook. Oscar Chance: A winning Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway in career-best performances should be high on any list. And the film is sophisticated and different enough to become a strong possibility in Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay, too.

  100. With Hammond I don't know if he actually saw it or is he just talking about the buzz?? Thanks for the link Monica!

How awesome that you got to go to the screening of LAOD FL! It could be that the version you saw was edited from an earlier version. I forgot that Jill Clayburgh was in it. I think that this will be a hit, I can't wait, thanks for your review!!!

In NY and I assume a restauraunt:

squidiculous: Uhh Jake Gyllenhaal (sp?) is here. He has grown a beard and looks manly.

  101. I used to watch the rachel zoe project but we recently switched satellites and i no longer have the channel, but i do adore Brad he was so funny.

I have a question for FL, so out of all your favorite Jake movies where does this one rank?

  102. I have a question for FL, so out of all your favorite Jake movies where does this one rank?

For the opening scene alone I rank this first on my list. For the movie as a whole, probably second.

You must understand, I'm very shallow. And Jake looks beautiful in every scene in this film. His whole body looks as if it's been kissed by the sun gods, by Ra himself.

    I think I'll do a new post now. :-)
