Lainey Gossip wrote up something about Reese and Jake being in NYC at the same time together and is speculating whether a Christmas reconciliation is in the works.
In the spirit of the holiday I want to offer any of you who may be interested a copy of "The Source Code" script.
I'm going to need your email addresses, so maybe we can do it over at the old Jake Spoilers board like we did last time. Or maybe someone has a better idea of how to go about it.

When I saw this I thought that he was returning to NY for the holiday since he was spotted in L.A., I can't tell from this tweet, it almost sounds like he was leaving if this tweet is true because sitting for 2 hours at an airport suggests he was waiting for a flight. The person was flying from NY to MN:

Apparently someone somewhere who is tweeting has just thought they saw Jake or thinking they saw someone who reminded them of him or something. I don't think he would be spending the week flying from NY to LA then right back to NY only to leave again soon after.
I should add that it's odd that she still would be in NY on Christmas eve. I know the gossip is that she is planning to go skiing with friends and her kids but that may be the weekend if true.
Well, I'm caught in the Midwest blizzard. My friend's annual Christmas Eve dinner party had to be rescheduled...... roads here are way too treacherous. So I'm trapped at home. Bah, humbug!
Glad I have GB to keep me entertained. The recent Jake (and Reese) tweets are rather intriguing, I have to admit. I just assumed that Jake would be in NYC for the holidays.....
You guys realize that the yoga sighting on ONYD could have been false. Maybe a girl saw someone she thought looked like Jake. After all, she talked about Jake being "thicker in the mid section" and everyone here keeps mentioning how Jake looks thinner lately.
Also, I find it extremely strange that Reese would still be in New York City on Christmas Eve (at least early in the day) and then we get another tweet saying they saw Jake Gyllenhaal at JFK airport in NYC. If Jake was waiting at the airport for two hours (as the tweet claims he was "sitting next to him") then he was departing (i'm assuming he's going back to LA?)
I'm also assuming that Reese will be making her way back today as well to spend the rest of Christmas with her kids?
Is there still anyone who believes that Reese was in New York for "meetings?"

I don't know if Jake and Reese are back together, but it is obvious to me that he was leaving NYC for another destination. That much I'm fairly certain of.
I know tweets are suppose to be short but to say you sat next to Jake for 2 hours and not a word about anything he might of said, even a couple words or to say he said nothing. I think he could of at least said Hi..ha. Maybe Ryan has the kids this Christmas. For Reese to be in New York all this time does seem unusual. The early days of them being together in New York they were never photographed together. They were sneaky. They also might think since people think they've broken up, no one would be looking for them to be together. Oh well - who knows - we may find out they're been in two different places for Christmas.

Um, me? I think it's possible the NY visits were planned when Jake and Reese were still together...after all, it was only a month beore their breakup and they probably had/have plans well in advance considering their schedules. And Reese probably made appointments with other people in NY since she was going to be there with Jake anyway. And then when they broke up Reese decided to keep the meeting obligations. A possible explanation/scenario.
Although I have to say I hope a reconciliation does occur. If they love each other it seems a shame to end it just because the "timing" is off. I honestly don't think Reese has sworn off marriage forever, she totally seems the type to embrace it, but she's been burned before and she's not ready right now.
Maybe (we say that a lot) J&R still want to talk things out. And if they saw each other in New York or even talking on the phone they wouldn't want to be seen together because then it would be a lot of - back together - when they just might not be..or if they were it wasn't time for people to know it. They are public figures but still like to have some sort of privacy.

Look at that tweet about Reese on the airplane. It was from "5 hours" before it was posted here just after noon on Christmas Day. It's also likely that the person tweeted that message after arriving in LA (and after a five hour flight). That means that Reese left NYC late on Christmas Eve.
So now we have Jake leaving NYC on Christmas Eve and Reese leaving shortly thereafter.
Well, that's kind of telling isn't it? I would keep your Jake radar up if you live in Ojai, CA this week. Just call it a hunch.
This tweet is from Brooklyn and I don't think he made the purchase today, because she doesn't say he "just bought". Most likely he made the purchase before he left. BTW, there was a tweet/sighting of Maggie on Christmas Eve at the Arclight in L.A. so at least as of Christmas eve she wasn't in Brooklyn:

I realize Twitter can be confusing to follow at times, but the "5 hours" you're talking about is merely the time the poster here on GB retrieved the info from Twitter (in other words, 5 hours after the original tweet was posted). The actual twitter itself was posted at 8:34am Christmas morning.

Rummaging around, I found a recent post from Doug Liman's blog on 30 ninjas, where he talks about his Moon project somemore. I'm getting a much clearer idea of what he and Jake are developing. It sounds like it's going to be a fun ride.
Didn't realize Doug Liman's based in NYC. He has a separate article about attending the Sherlock Holmes premiere/party and being excited to meet Robert Downey, Jr.
Here's some more info on the event Jake will be attending on 1/13. It's a fundraiser for a children's writing program in NY and he and some other celebs will be participating in a ping pong event sponsered by Spin:
