Let's see what Jake was doing on various April 10ths.
In 2005, while still filming Jarhead, Jake took a meeting and had lunch at The Ivy.
And in 2007, Jake was spotted running in the Hills.Since Jake only allows himself to papped every two years on April 10th, I fully expect a glut of pictures sometime today, which I will happily add to this post. Right here.

Charlie was soooo pretty on Queer as Folk (even if I was a Aidan Gillen girl myself - Stuart, yummy bad boy) But I have never noticed the strong Heath resemblance before

I've enjoying Milk this week... it's only one of two movies I bought...not made by Jake...since Brokeback Mountain. I love Sean and Gus Van Sant for making parts of Harvey known to me.
I cried when Harvey was killed but I didn't know him personally...God I didn't know I was so busy back then...but then everyone who is dead shows up in a movie or who dies now at my age brings back memories.
I don't really have the energy to keep up with Jake and his pretty Reese...I wish did, but I come here once in a while and make the rounds.
Sooooooooooooooo, I have to have another f*cking Mammogram Tuesday...my original Oncologists felt something..another lump? Friday...tell ya what... if this one is another actual cancer I'm taking these boobies off ASAP! bad boob 1 and 2...out the door.
This is the end of my BC info, I have another group of like dxed folks I talk it out with, though I love you all too much to leave you out totally...:lol:lol...just kidding.
Send up prayers please Tuesday pm while I get squeezzzed, poked and shoved around in the boob machine...ugh:)

I loved Milk as well, Penn was amazing. There is a documentary on Harvey Milk called the life and Times of Harvey Milk. I don't know if you saw that but it's an excellent documentary on Milk.

ReplyDeleteReese will be busy getting ready for her new movie where she plays a softball player, I suspect we will see a lot of pics of her working out and practicing softball until filming.
She also moved the offices of her production Co. and I would assume there are things that need to be taken care of there as well as a few rumored projects at that end.
Hopefully we will get release dates of Brothers and Nailed so Jake can do some promotion.

Jake looks extremly sexy and Austin is also a hottie. Love their matching shirts and helmets.
Sorry I don't see anything in Austin and it gets on my nerves when they refer to him as Jakes BFF, when everyone knows that is Chris. Oh and the only similarity to the shirts are the stripes down the arm, Jakes also has one on the top of the arm so they are not matching.

ReplyDeleteI thought that maybe the Namath film will be starting first? I am a bit puzzled that Jake is only attached to projects which don´t have a director (except D. Liman) nor a finished script yet.
It will be also interesting to see when they will start a little promotion for "Brothers". And I have read somewhere that "Nailed" could be shown in Cannes. (??)

I honestly thought it was amazing performance from everyone. I cried.. Tobey Magguire, (sp?) had a really strong role especially. They had a q&a after, my boyfriend and I stayed to participate and everyone gave input. I knew nothing about it when I went, but despite it being what I felt was a little bit of a cliche storyline, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great movies seem harder and harder to come by these days..
I would not be surprised one single bit if Brothers screens in Toronto in Spetember. It's just a "feeling" I have. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think they have a script for the Joe Namath movie or for that Moon project. Which is fine with me. I would love to see Jake do some other stuff.
Altho, in the past two months, I've watched The Good Girl, October Sky, Rendition, and Zodiac on cable, and have been so impressed, and reminded about what incredible choices he makes. These movies are excellent and they really hold up well over time.

Jake has 3 projects that are up in the air as you pointed out:UMP, Yankees and the Namath movie and no firm release date for either Nailed and Brothers.
Gabbanna, both Nailed and Brothers were rumored to open and Cannes, then heard thatBrothers wouldn't.

ReplyDeleteIt's one thing to read an item saying he was spotted, and another for the photographers to stalk him and harrass him every day. He tries to avoid them as much as possible, I guess, maybe that's why he's going to different places more. Those people sound deranged!
ReplyDeleteI said it before, I prefer sigthings to actual pics lately. Even though I loved the recent Europe pics of J&R , I actually enjoyed reading the blog spottings of them more along with the occasional blog spottings of them in L.A. like Ojai.
ReplyDeleteIt was obvious that when they returned they were not amused with the paps. Being papped alone or with friends is a lot less annoying. He has been spotted in Venice before and in that area , not sure if it was the same place, but I would assume that Venice has less paps swarming around than other parts of L.A.
Tax day and I'm afraid i'm one of those that wait until the last minute, well with my State anyway. I'm off to mail that off on my break.
Jake complains to cops in S. Monica that the paps are harrassing him, TMZ claims that it is the second time in two weeks he flagged cop down. I wonder if the first time was hwen he was at the Medical building with those two jackasses.

I feel just awful that Jake and Reese are going thru something like this, but I think maybe it's an unusual situation going on.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are used to a certain amount of attention. They've handled it fine in the past. Something must have got out of hand this time.
Maybe it's those two or three guys who were acting all deranged when he came out of the doctor's office the other day who are harrassing him and following him. It also explains why they have been doing more things apart the past three weeks.
Whatever it is, I hope things settle down soon and he can relax again.
The last time we saw J&R out together was when they went on that double date with Paltrow and her husband on around 4/7 about 8 days ago. They are definately more annoyed than usual with the paps, Jake has looked grumpy for the most part. Reese seemed ok in the recent pics but that was probably due to the fact that she was practicing softball and wasn't really paying attention to them.

Whoa! That puts a whole different spin on things. X17 is the worst, IMO, but TMZ, Splash,etc. They all lie. TMZ said Jake "kicked" their camera man and then later spit at him when Jake was on jury duty, but even their own video showed them to be liars.

Nice has been floating around for awhile, I'm glad that a studio has finally picked it up and that Reese is attached to it. I hope that they keep the plot dark and edgy, I miss her in those types of roles.

Now she is prepping, and signing up for movies, while he has his down time.
