OMG. Morning again peeps...we are so totally spoiled. I can't stop looking at the wonderful happy kiss kiss WENN pics...they are fantastic pics from WENN.
Jake is definitely making her a v.v.v. happy camper. I have never seen her smile this much...and these two really are inseparable...and Reese is so cute standing up on her tippy toes to kiss and hug his gorgeousness... and I love how Jake can wrap his arms nearly all the way round her and back...this does my romantic heart so much good.
*smile* *sigh*
Side note: I have her hat! And I love it. I pair it with a good little LBD and I feel so hot in it.

ReplyDeleteIf I were to project, based on m y personal experience as a divorced mom who did date and get serious after my divorce, it's obvious that something has changed in their relationship. I believe by now her children have been informed of Jake's place in the family, i.e. future step-dad, that he now has that more intimate family position and that they know he is more than just a date for mommy...whatever they think a date really is:))... Therefore, PDA pics of mommy and Jake will not be as upsetting to her kiddos , if they should see one in a magazine. He is going to be your step-dad talks may be going on...pics of mom hugging another man will still be upsetting, but now they know that he is very important to all of them.
I admire the way Reese is proceeding with Jake and her kiddos as she makes this family work, because it is primarily her responsibility as their mom to do this in the most nontraumatic way possible. The woman has total class, had a good upbringing and it shows.
Now, I want more PDA snaps, please:lol:lol

I LOVE these pictures. Thanks SO much. I said it before. Reese looks absolutely giddy! Giggly. Besotted. Adorable. She is certainly a lot more affectionate then I ever, ever saw her before. I don't think Jake's very shy about PDAs, so it was only a matter of time before Reese succumbed. :) Love his one-armed hug!

ReplyDeleteMost women do not consider it fun to have people speculating that they are pregnant when they are not. I would imagine Reese in particular feels this way, since she sued over it.
We are getting so spoiled! The pictures are fantastic, they are so happy! Love how she has to get on her tip toes for a kiss!
ReplyDeletePoint of information for the anonymous spoilsport at 2.08 - Reese sued a magazine to protect her professional reputation. She had work lined up and obviously wanted to reassure her producers that she wasn't about to take time out. We're just foolin'. There are boards out there which make constant despicable speculations about both Reese and Jake. They haven't sued any of them to our knowledge. Perhaps you are familiar with those boards?
ReplyDeleteAnon a lot of us are big fans of Reese and Jake, we love the two together, and some of us are huge huge Reese fans. And have followed her career from early on. I know I have, and this is hands down the happiest I have ever seen her. And some of us are also huge huge Jake fans, and it wouldn't be that big deal if she was. We are saying we fully support her if she is. All the speculation has been very tongue in cheek for a reason. They are obviously happy and in love, and I doubt Reese really cares what we think about her weight gain. If she's not pregnant, then she still looks damn good either way.

ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone can take the tongue-in-cheek references about her being pregnant seriously. They are obviously not meant that way at all. Anyone who has ever spent any time on this board knows that. In fact, half the time when people mention it, I don't see a bump at all. We all just play along because it's fun to speculate that they may be having a baby together given the seriousness of their relationship.
So the issue is not to point out her being fat (I don't think she is). The issue is that we want them to procreate together.
Relax. It's all play.
I also want to point out that I don't think she's pregnant. I do think they are engaged and will marry sooner than most people realize, but I don't think she's pregnant.

Just slightly OT.... I just saw Ellen DeGeneres' American Express print ad. You know, the ones that are a funny questionnaire? Anyway, one of her questions was "Stage Name"....... her answer...... "Reese Witherspoon". That cracked me up!
Those earlier pictures look like brunch/lunch pictures, and I've discovered since I first saw them that it started to rain...so Jake is the one putting his hood up, while Reese is laughing without a care in the world. I'm sure Jake wants to get Nailed wrapped, but I also believe that this extended break is something of a gift for them. He is clear thru Thursday?

OT: I just finished the script for "Against All Enemies" by James Vanderbilt. He's the guy who wrote, "Zodiac," and it's an adaptation of the Richard Clarke book (he was that counter-terrorism guy who blew the lid on the Bush White House). It's a real good script but needs some serious editing. It's 208 pages and the average script is only 120.

In Motorcycle Diaries, Gael Garcia Bernal portrayed Che's early life and the things that affected his political consciousness.
Benecio's film deals with the Cuban Revolution and then Che's failed attempt to export the revolution to Bolivia.
What strikes me about all these new pictures is that in the past, they seemed restrained in public, and while they were affectionate, they were "chaste." These are much more relaxed and frankly, very sexy. At least, I'm getting heat from them.

ReplyDeleteMe, too, Bobbyanna! And I loved The Motorcycle Diaries, too. I think the Soderbergh opus is actually two movies, totaling 4.5 hours. Which will make no difference to audiences - it's still daunting.
To continue the three theme, a Jake and Reese sighting from today, I think, though it matches their brunch spot from last weekend:
Brunch today was at the super cool 3 Square Café + Bakery in hip and artsy Abbot Kinney... And what do you know? We bumped into Jake Gyllenhaal & Reese Witherspoon!

ReplyDeleteAs much as I would like to take credit for being restrained and ladylike....... it wasn't me in this particular case (was it josie, maybe?). Tempting though it may be sometimes, I don't believe in feeding the trolls. :)
I've read somewhere that women reach the absolute peak of their sex drive in their early to mid thirties, while men reach their's in their mid to late twenties. So, from an age perspective, these two are absolutely right together.

Even if he does tend to lose weight if he is getting ready for a part in a movie. following Jake makes me more conscious of the physical stuff actors have to go thru to get into character.
ReplyDeleteI know people talk about the exorbitant amounts actors make for standing in front of a camera. But you have to think of all the work that goes in to it, preparation before hand like bulking up or dropping weight quickly which can have lasting effects on your body. And then 17 hour days for sometimes six days a week? Yeah no fun. I've worked as an extra on a few film sets, and we did sometimes hours and hours of retakes of one scene. It's ridiculously tedious. Not to mention sometimes you have to relocate your whole life for three, four or five months, or in the case of LOTR and some other trilogies, a year and a half to a new location and be away from family and friends? Yikes.

ReplyDeletebette, all that you say is true. The other thing to think of, is, investors put millions of dollars into a film, and expect to reap comparable rewards of millions of dollars in profits from theatres, from the DVD sales, the cable and network sales, etc.
ReplyDeleteThey base their advertising, and the hook they use to sell a movie, on the actors who are in it. So it seems appropriate to me,that the actors should share in the rewards.
I guess I'm using the old Reggie Jackson argument. I think Reggie was one of the very first sports figures who insisted on getting a percentage of the gate from the Yankees, bcz he argued successfully, that his participation generated more ticket sales for the team, and media interest, then if he weren't playing.

Diving into the shallow end of the pool here, but I keep looking at those Jeese pictures where she is wearing the hat. The last couple , it looks like she is leaning into him and he is supporting her weight.

Sally exactly! I mean it's pretty ridiculous what they get paid because there are some people who put in 17 hour days, and have to travel and they don't make millions. But it's like the highest paid actors and actresses do bust their ass. Not to mention they essentially give up their privacy to the public because of the interest. It doesn't sound that appealing to me. I'd rather earn millions some other way, and have the paparazzi stay out of my life.
ReplyDeleteKeeping it PG-13 here, does anybody else think Jake is channeling a little Christian Bale in that third to last photo. I can kind of see it. Maybe it's only because in a lot of candids of Bale I see him with his mouth kind of slightly open looking to the side.

ReplyDeleteI just went over to the US Poll and I have to admit. Since Brad and Angie are in the south of France at some very posh villa, I really thought about going there...until I thought about all those kids, with two more due any minute...I love kids...but still...
So I went with Jake and Reese bcz I think they would be fun and we could have some interesting conversations, too.
The only one who could entice me away from Jake and Reese would be if George Clooney invited me to the villa on Lake Como in Italy.
I've been to Lake Como, and would love to go back there, but this time in a villa, which I did not do the other time I was there, not being a villa kind of girl...
Well I am a villa kind of girl, just without a villa at this particular time...
I think Jake is incredibly sexy...in a simple grey shirt...or whatever, and I love the way he "handles" Reese. I think she enjoys it too(!)
They do seem a lot freer. I think it's partly bcz the relationship is at another level, but also they have to be tired of always looking over their shoulder, especially when they are in a "certain mood."
